If you cry at weddings, you’d better bring your hankie to ESSE Purse Museum’s newest offering, “You May Kiss the Bride.” The temporary exhibit, which features eight wedding dresses from 1900 through the 1980’s – and much more – opens Tuesday, May 29, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 19.

The wedding dresses and accouterments, photos, and other nuptial paraphernalia are sure to please, but, as ESSE is more than a fashion museum, you just might learn some fascinating facts and hysterical history about that most hallowed of traditions.

There will be a special reception on Saturday, June 9, with cake and champagne included in the price of regular admission.
