Join us in SoMa as we install two ground plane murals and hold a BLOCK PARTY to celebrate Little Rock's first large scale ground mural!
Artist Kait Culbertson will install SoMa Superbloom with volunteer help at the intersection of 13th and Main Street, while a Pride crosswalk is installed at 12th and Main Street.
Since we need to close the street, we decided to have some FUN!
Volunteer painting shifts and live music will begin at 1pm Saturday, and the installation will continue through Sunday.
Butterfly from New Orleans, Jett Jano, Shannon Boshears, Rock City Jukebox, Stephan James and Charlie Askew are set to perform Saturday, with DJ AJ and P RVNGER performing on Sunday from 1-6pm.
Superbloom is made possible by the Bloomberg Philanthropies Asphalt Art Initiative grant program. Little Rock is one of 25 cities in the U.S, Canada and Mexico selected from among more than 200 applicants for this round of projects.
The Pride crosswalk is a community driven initiative, with SoMa 501 raising the funds and local neighbors working to move the project forward.
