The Oxford American magazine is excited to welcome John Fullbright back to the South on Main stage! This is the third show of the Archetypes & Troubadours Sub-Series. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with dinner and drinks available for purchase at that time. The series is made possible in part by presenting sponsors Chris & Jo Harkins and J. Mark & Christy Davis, as well as our season sponsor UAMS - University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
As a special addition to the evening, UAMS College of Pharmacy student pharmacists will be on-site providing free health screenings, including blood pressure and blood glucose (sugar) readings, from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. Knowing your results will give you a better understanding of your health.
4-Show Archetypes & Troubadours packages are available beginning May 13 via Metrotix.com or by calling (800) 293-5949. Single tickets go on sale May 20 and are $30 (General Admission), $34 (Reserved), and $36 (Premium Reserved).
John Fullbright got his start at the legendary Blue Door listening room in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was there that he recorded a live album and found his base, opening for many other writers including fellow Oklahomans Kevin Welch and Jimmy Webb.
His 2012 studio debut, From the Ground Up, received a GRAMMY nomination for Americana Album of the Year. Later that year Fullbright won ASCAP’s Harold Adamson Award for lyric writing. In 2014, he released the critically acclaimed Songs, toured all over America and the UK, and appeared on Late Night with David Letterman.
